Queen's Jubilee Slab Fudge

Her Majesty is celebrating 70 years as head honcho, and we want to get in on some of that sweet Jubilee money. Enter....The Queen’s Fudge.

The first few recipes we tried weren’t great. The caramelised swan flavour was ok, but we just couldn’t get people to buy the blended peasant and ermine. In the end, we recreated the Queen’s favourite teatime cake and threw an enormous quantity of biscuits into a rich chocolate fudge. Then we Fu-jazzled the top and gave it an official jubilee emblem.

Committed to deliciously good chocolate: The chocolate in this fudge is made to a special recipe using Colombian Fine Flavour Cacao. It is produced collaboratively to improve farmers’ livelihoods and to build economic, social and environmental prosperity in the communities where it is grown.

Committed to local partnerships: The gluten-free biscuit in this fudge has been exclusively created for us by Kerry's Bake House in Deal, Kent, a UK based baker who could provide us with gluten and palm oil free biscuits, in line with our gluten-free policy and sustainability missions at Fudge Kitchen.

Storage

Keep in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. Our whipping cream fudge is freshly made and should keep for up to 10 days, but whether you can wait that long is another matter. Store your fudge at room temperature, as the sugar in the fudge acts as a natural preservative. DO NOT REFRIGERATE it, as this can affect the colour and texture of the fudge. Humidity and sudden changes in temperature may affect the firmness of your fudge.

The kids loved this one.. and as the biscuit was also gluten free, this meant that my wife could indulge as well… five stars from all of us!
